Tulip Garden – known as the garden of Europe, is one of the most visited places in Amsterdam. To me, it was a unique and unforgettable experience. The 32-hectare park was filled with blooming flower bulbs planted by hand last Autumn to bloom in spring, with over 800 tulip varieties.
If you don’t have the time to go to the Netherlands, the Keukenhof Gardens is enough to fill your delight. The scent of hyacinths, tulips, and daffodils is one of the most memorable scents. It is found between Amsterdam and The Hague.
Found throughout the Keukenhof are impressive Inspiration Gardens such as:
“Strawberry Fields” is inspired by the Beetle’s “Yellow Submarine” and features “Strawberry Fields” tulips near the border.
“Happiness Garden” suggests a barefoot walking trail and reflection area as you stroll through.
“Forest Cabin Garden” features rustic plants and blooms in a woodland garden.
“Green Machine Garden” reveals how to grow herbs like mint, chamomile, aniseed, etc. You can stop at the conservatory for a cup of tea.
You can also enjoy other activities such as:
- 60-minute Guided Tour
- Whisper Boat Ride
- Flight over the Bulb Fields
Keukenhof Tulip Gardens is a child-friendly park. Kids can enjoy treasure hunting, a petting zoo, the maze, and the playground. There is also a Miffy playground for the little ones. It can be an excellent experience for the whole family.
However, if you are traveling alone, Keukenhof Tulip Gardens is a great place to relax, take time off and smell the flowers. It will surely make your experience memorable. It’s a perfect place to unwind, reflect, and enjoy the view.
To enjoy Keukenhof Gardens, you are required to buy an entrance ticket. The tickets have a specific day and arrival time.
Keukenhof will work with a limited capacity per day and time of entry to the park. It is therefore wise to reserve your ticket in advance. Keukenhof tickets for the will be available from October. The park can sell out some busy days and prevalent time slots quickly.
Note: Tickets for Keukenhof Gardens 2023 are only available online. There is no ticket sale at the entrance of the flower park.
